about

The last in a series of story telling albums by Faer Noamuth.

Drathir Vlos tells the tale of an adventurer who travels to a new town on the tails of a rumor of a mystical nuisance nearby. In need of coin, the adventurer sets out to rid them of this menace. Another day's work. Upon arriving, the town unsettles him, and he is unable to pin down exactly whats wrong there, aside from what seems like everything. In the following nights, the adventurer grows confused as the strange townsfolk seem to dart and dodge between buildings like shadows, and dodge the simplest of questions. He feels as his mind is slowly ripped away from him, as he contemplates: "Why am I even here?" The next night, he can hear inhuman screams in his mind, and the only thing that brings him any level of comfort is setting his gaze upon the night sky, and questioning whether he has the will to continue on, and when will he completely lose control?

Drathir Vlos is a collection of music that takes you into the mind of this adventurer, feeling the sense of wonder that comes with traveling to some place new, and the horror and sorrow that comes with losing your mind to an unknown force.

Track 4: Shadows Over Greymire is a tribute to Matt Uelman's Tristram theme. Diablo was the first game to instill in me a deep love for dark fantasy, and has truly inspired all of my work in one way or another.

I will be taking an indefinite hiatus from this project after this album to pursue other approaches to dungeon synth and fantasy ambient music. Thank you to those who have supported me.
